Sophie Starr - BHS Stage 5 performance coach

Sophie is an energetic and enthusiastic teacher and coach.  She inspires and builds confidence in the rider so that they are able to get the best from their horse.

Sophie has trained with some of the most recognised professionals in the industry and is a great believer that training continuing throughout every rider’s journey; not every rider wants to compete at the Olympics but we all want to be a little better than we were yesterday!

Sophie spent time in Bermuda, Canada and the USA coaching and learning all about American style “hunters” and “equitation”; it was a very steep learning curve but one that taught her a huge amount about differing coaching and riding techniques and, most importantly, to appreciate the importance of an open mind when it comes to the training of our riders and their horses.
